TITLE Smart Campus Management using AR and IoT with AI
ABSTRACT The rapid evolution of digital technologies has transformed education into a data-driven and connected domain. However, many traditional educational institutions still depend on outdated and manual systems for daily operations such as attendance management, campus monitoring, and energy utilization. These legacy systems result in inefficiency, time wastage, and inadequate resource allocation. To overcome these limitations, this paper proposes a comprehensive Smart Campus Management System (SCMS) that integrates Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Augmented Reality (AR) into a single, intelligent ecosystem. The system leverages IoT-enabled sensors for data acquisition, AI for intelligent analytics and automation, and AR for creating interactive and immersive user experiences. IoT devices such as RFID modules, PIR sensors, and environmental sensors continuously collect real-time data, which is analyzed by AI algorithms for optimizing operations like attendance verification, energy consumption, and occupancy management. The AR component provides students and visitors with interactive navigation and educational visualizations through mobile applications. The integrated system aims to enhance administrative efficiency, safety, and user engagement across educational campuses. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvements in energy efficiency (up to 30% savings), attendance tracking accuracy (95%), and user satisfaction levels. The proposed system thus represents a step toward intelligent, connected, and sustainable campuses that enable data-informed decisions, reduce manual workload, and enhance educational experiences.
