| TITLE | QR-Based Attendance Management System with Location Tracking: A Comprehensive Mobile Solution |
|---|---|
| ABSTRACT | Traditional attendance management systems are often time-consuming, prone to proxy attendance, and lack real-time tracking capabilities. This paper presents a comprehensive QR-based attendance management system that leverages mobile technology, cloud computing, and GPS location tracking to provide an efficient, secure, and scalable solution for educational institutions. The proposed system consists of two distinct interfaces: a student application for marking attendance via QR code scanning and an administrative dashboard for managing students and monitoring attendance records. The system implements real-time location capture during attendance marking, time-limited QR code generation, and secure authentication mechanisms. Performance analysis demonstrates that the system significantly reduces attendance processing time, eliminates proxy attendance through location verification, and provides administrators with comprehensive attendance analytics. The system architecture utilizes React Native for cross-platform mobile development, Node.js with Express for the backend API, and MongoDB Atlas for cloud-based data storage, ensuring scalability and accessibility from anywhere. |
