| ABSTRACT | The Indian legal system is vast, complex, and often inaccessible to citizens who lack legal awareness or professional guidance. LegalEase is an AI-powered web platform designed to bridge this gap by simplifying access to legal information and assistance. The system integrates a conversational AI chatbot built on the Gemini API, enabling users to receive real-time answers to their legal queries in plain language. In addition, LegalEase introduces an innovative PDF-interactive chatbot that allows users to upload and query legal documents directly extracting case-relevant insights, statutes, and contextual explanations. The platform also features secure user authentication, scalable architecture powered by Next.js, Express.js, Prisma, and PostgreSQL, and efficient project management using Turborepo. Unlike traditional legal portals, LegalEase focuses on accessibility, explainability, and intelligent document interaction, making legal literacy more attainable for all citizens. By combining cutting-edge AI with modern web engineering, this project demonstrates the transformative potential of technology in democratizing legal knowledge and supporting justice accessibility in India. |
