TITLE Investigating the Role of AI in Web Development
ABSTRACT AI is changing web development fast. Like, really fast. What used to take hours of coding or testing can now happen in minutes with the help of AI-driven tools. This study dives into how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way websites and web apps are built — not just technically, but creatively too. The research pulls from both existing studies and a survey of real developers working in the field. What we found isn’t all black and white. AI tools — think code assistants, automated testers, even layout generators — are taking over repetitive work. They boost speed, sharpen precision, and give developers more room to focus on ideas instead of syntax. Still, many developers don’t see AI as the “replacement” everyone fears. Most treat it like a creative partner, a kind of digital sidekick that makes work smoother. But there’s a catch. A few respondents admitted they struggle to keep up — new tools, new methods, constant updates. That pressure is real. The takeaway? Web developers can’t just code anymore; they’ve got to learn, unlearn, and relearn. The study makes one thing clear: AI isn’t stealing the craft — it’s redefining it. And those who adapt will shape the future of development itself.
