TITLE Impact of Online Gaming on Student Lives
ABSTRACT The rise of online gaming has significantly influenced students’ academic, psychological, and social well-being. This study explores the dual nature of gaming—its potential to enhance creativity, teamwork, and stress relief, and its risks of addiction, poor academic performance, and lifestyle disruption. A descriptive, survey-based methodology was employed with undergraduate students aged 19–29. Findings show that moderate gaming (1–2 hours/day) improves stress management and social interaction, while excessive gaming (3–6 hours/day) leads to academic decline, irregular sleep, and self-reported addiction. The study highlights the importance of balanced gaming habits and recommends strategies for healthier engagement.
