| TITLE | Gamification in Education: Benefits and Limitations |
|---|---|
| ABSTRACT | Gamification in education is an emerging approach that integrates game-based elements such as points, badges, levels, and leaderboards into the learning process to enhance student motivation, engagement, and participation. This paper explores how gamification transforms traditional learning environments into more interactive and enjoyable experiences. It highlights key benefits, including improved student focus, motivation, and knowledge retention, while also identifying limitations such as excessive competition, unequal participation, and the risk of distraction. Through a review of academic literature, surveys, and analysis of real-world implementations, this study concludes that gamification can significantly improve learning outcomes when applied thoughtfully and balanced with pedagogical goals. |
