TITLE Email Server Implementation for Secure and Efficient Internal Company Communication
ABSTRACT This paper presents a structured methodology for designing and deploying a secure internal email exchange system tailored for enterprise communication. The proposed approach integrates a layered system architecture that includes Mail User Agents, an internal DNS resolver, a secure SMTP-based Mail Transfer Agent, and an IMAP/POP3 mailbox storage subsystem. The methodology further decomposes the system into functional modules covering DNS-based routing, centralized authentication, firewall enforcement, encrypted message transmission, and secure retrieval services. Implementation stages consist of server configuration, domain and MX setup, authentication integration, and rigorous security hardening. The paper also outlines a step-by-step deployment workflow supported by a detailed system architecture diagram that illustrates component interactions and communication paths. The methodology emphasizes confidentiality, controlled message routing, operational efficiency, and resilience against unauthorized access, establishing a robust operational model suitable for enterprise-grade internal communication systems.
