TITLE Design and Development of a School Management System using MERN Stack
ABSTRACT With the increasing digital transformation in the education sector, institutions require reliable and scalable management platforms to streamline both academic and administrative operations. This study focuses on the design and development of a School Management System using the MERN stack—MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. The system incorporates role-specific dashboards for administrators, teachers, and students, enabling features such as admissions, class timetables, subject allocation, notices, complaints, and student record handling. Communication between the frontend and backend is facilitated through RESTful APIs, while MongoDB ensures efficient and persistent data storage. Development practices also included GitHub for version control and Postman for API testing. The work illustrates how modern full-stack technologies can significantly improve institutional productivity and transparency.
