| TITLE | AquaSweep: Intelligent Automatic Robot for Waterway Cleanliness & Waste Management |

| ABSTRACT | The rapid growth of urbanization and industrialization has led to severe pollution in rivers and lakes due to the accumulation of floating waste. Manual cleaning methods are inefficient and pose risks to human workers. This survey paper reviews existing research on autonomous and IoT-based river cleaning systems, waste segregation technologies, and smart environmental management systems. The objective is to analyze how automation, robotics, and sensor-based sorting mechanisms can improve waterway cleanliness. The study also highlights key components of the proposed system, AquaSweep, which combines a garbage-collecting chain, servo-motor-driven sorting mechanisms, and IoT-based monitoring for real-time data analysis. Major findings indicate that integrating robotics and IoT can significantly improve operational efficiency, precision, and sustainability in waste management. The paper concludes that AquaSweep can contribute to environmental protection through autonomous operation, data-driven analysis, and real-time decision-making. |
